how iJones works

iJones is the deal site that creates community. We want citizens and local businesses to know and benefit from each other. Buying local creates a healthy, sustainable economy. With iJones, technology is a way to connect with the world, not a way to become more isolated. (Our name comes from the fact that everybody is always jonesin’ for something, whether it’s a night out with friends or dinner half-off.)

We’ll be expanding nationally down the road, but right now, our roots and our focus is Kentucky.

Here’s how iJones differs from other deal sites:

FOR USERS: You access deals and information 24/7 in real-time from businesses and organizations in your chosen vicinity by logging into via your phone or the Web.With iJones, the iPhone or Android app is free; the deals come to you. No coupons, no hassle. iJones goes beyond discounts, offering job postings, event listings and more. Think of us as that one friend who always seems to know what’s going on around town.

FOR MERCHANTS AND COMPANIES: You create and control the deals you offer through an easy-to-use interface you can log into anytime, from anywhere. You alone decide the type of deal and how long it lasts – from discounts to collective buying. No complicated contracts. Our push-button technology frees you to schedule in advance across multiple locations. The power is in your hands. iJones works on a monthly subscription/membership basis.

Here’s what people and companies are saying about iJones:

"If I'm hungry, I'll log in to iJones, pull the map up and find restaurant specials. I like how it integrates with the GPS... iJones will show you all the specials in your vicinity. It's very user-friendly."

Being a mom, for me, it's about what family dinner is cheapest. I've used iJones quite a bit for restaurants, especially at pizza places. I also really like iJones for all the postings of what's going on in town, especially the Rupp Arena events."

-Margie Cansler
Lexington resident

"iJones is really user-friendly, quick and precise, and (for merchants and shop owners), you can input information very quickly, and have it available online immediately. I also think it's great for tourists and for local residents so they can see what's happening downtown."

- Caroline Puterbaugh
Mall Manager, Lexington Center

"Their concept is very, very good, especially for a small business owner. If I want to push something one day, I can get on and push it immediately and for as many days as I want. iJones helps us; it helps the consumers. Everyone wins."
